2022-23 Cancellation and General Policies

Make-Up Policy and Illness: Please do not send your child to a lesson/group class if they are feeling sick. We are making every effort to minimize the spread of germs, especially those related to Covid-19. One (1) private make-up lesson will be given to students if advance notice of at least 24 hours or more is given to the teacher. Any lesson(s) missed due to Covid-19 illness (or close exposure to someone who has Covid-19) will be made up over Zoom during the regular lesson time/day if the child is able. Otherwise, we will make every effort to make up some or all of the missed time at another mutually agreed upon date and time. Any request to have a Zoom lesson for reasons other than those related to Covid-19 will be subject to the approval of the private teacher and the program director. We trust everyone to be honest and to not take advantage of this flexible policy, which is designed to keep everyone healthy. There are no make ups for missed group classes. Please contact us with any questions.

Recital Attendance: All assigned recitals and performances are an essential part of the SOTI curriculum and are therefore mandatory for students.

Registration Agreement: Registration fees pay for an entire semester.

Marketing Materials: Periodically we will take and use pictures/videos of Suzuki on the Island lessons and performances for promotional/marketing (i.e., within the school, for social media, newspapers and other periodicals). No names of students are included. Please let us know if you do not consent to having pictures/videos of your child(ren) used for such purposes.
