At this time, we are planning on hosting our 8th Annual Chamber Music Festival in August of 2021. If the current health situation does not allow us to operate safely in-person, we will pivot to an online platform.

(Although we are genuinely planning to hold it in-person at this time!)

Our Summer Chamber Festival provides our students as well as students from outside our program a chance to study chamber music, chamber choir and string orchestra, as well as movement and theory for our younger students.  The festival has tripled in size since it’s opening in 2010.  The festival (usually scheduled the 3rd week of August) is open to kids ages 6 through 18.

“All of us really had our hearts in it. We arrived on day one with the notes in our fingers so we could dive straight into the artistic details.

In just a few days, we learned how to truly make music together. Every student, from youngest to oldest, was so excited and proud to be on that stage at the final performance.”

– Sophie Vincoff, violinist

The festival welcomes string players and pianists age 6-18. The festival features individualized attention for all students with an intensive chamber music experience throughout the week, and is located in Manhasset, Long Island. Students will be placed in chamber groups according to their age and level. Students also participate in chorus, cello choir, music theory, and one of 3 string orchestras. There will be a guest artist giving an evening masterclass to selected chamber groups.

On Wednesday evening we will have a pizza party; all festival students & families are invited to stay, eat, & enjoy the evening together! Following the pizza party, selected chamber music groups will perform in the masterclass. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. The festival will culminate in performances given by all groups on Friday.

Family and friends are invited to
join us for the concert!

Tuition for the festival is $700 per person (or $650 per person if registered and paid in full by June 15, 2020). Families registering 2 or more siblings can subtract 5% from the total registration.
Participation in all 5 days is required. Scholarships available.
